Special Exposure Wednesday – base ball

Recently Updated62 Recently Updated57 Recently Updated58
Noah loves, loves to play ball…  loves everything about it. Each year he has more and more stamina for it. But, in the Texas heat forget it, he gets all red and flushed and looks like he will pass out, and wants to go home. We had a cloudy sky and cool temp for this game and it was lovely. I can never say enough good things about the Miracle League. It is just a wonderful thing to us and many other families. The feeling you have around everyone at the games is like no other. Noah played a couple of years for another organization but this is by far the best ever.
I love to see his happy face and excitement. We are truly blessed.
Happy Wednesday!

I am so glad there are organizations like this! I love this photo series. Way to go Noah- and I was totally number 6 on my church softball team- it's a great number!

Great photos! I love the name "Miracle League". My kids are convinced that John Michael will follow Noah's passion for baseball as he's learning to catch and already has a good arm for throwing a ball (and everything else...)

what great pics from his game- looks like he's having a blast!

Can I ask you about the Miracle League and how they do it - are they actually playing a pretty close to 'real' game? Are they teaching them the 'basics' of the game? I have Kayla in a league, but there is no instruction whatsoever on what they are supposed to be doing - especially in the field. All they do is everyone on each team bats the whole way through for each inning (playing usually 2-3 innings) and each batter runs to 1st base, waits for the next batter, runs to 2nd, and ends up running the bases. So everyone bats, everyone scores, but no one is teaching them anything about what to do in the field...I don't know...just wondered how this league works. (sorry to take up your comments section!)

That is SO cool. Noah looks like he really enjoys the game! I've heard wonderful things about the Miracle League. I'll have to check to see if there are any around here. My guys LOVE baseball though they haven't actually "played" a game. They both have a good arm, can catch most of the time/sort of (LOL), and can hit a pitched ball. My Dad used to say they'd be the first people with Down syndrome to grace the Major Leagues!

Wait, one more question: Is he on a NY team? In Texas? A boy after my own heart!

I really like the high-five arch and hugging hands.

I've only recently heard about this league and now seem to see it everywhere. Your son looks super happy playing.
