Special Exposure Wednesday – Kick Ball Fun

Recently Updated3

Noah loves playing kick ball. He asks to play several times a day. We usually go out and play twice. Looking to get him into a soccer team. We tried a special needs one a few years ago and he was the only young one there and so we never went back. They got upset when he picked up the ball with his hands instead of kicking it. LOL  We have a new special needs soccer field that just opened along with the worlds first ultra accessible family fun park,  Morgan's Wonderland so I think we will see about getting him on a team there.  We so need to get to Morgan’s Wonderland! I hope with in the next few weeks to go. I hear it is really great!

Some photos from WDSD

Just some random photos from down town at Alamo Plaza where our local ds group celebrated. I didn't get any photos of the butterflies because my camera was on some funky setting. Some of my family met us there and we had a good time, then we all went out to dinner after. We bought some of the local ds calendars, Noah’s photo is the month of October.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Happy Sunday!

IMG_4777z copy_edited-1IMG_4862 IMG_4865

I hope to get to a flea market today and look for some vintage luggage. I have not been to a flea market in forever. After I hope to find a bluebonnet field to get some nice photos. It has been so beautiful here and I just want to enjoy all this lovely weather before the heat gets here and keeps us inside.

Happy Sunday!

A beautiful day

We had a great day yesterday. The sun was out and it was the perfect temp.

Bare foot.

Some shadow dancing.

Pulling the monkey’s in the wagon.

Those lazy monkey’s.

So much fun for one little boy in the sun.

I bought him a new monkey the other day at  Wal-mart ( the one in stripes). I secretly love them as much as Noah if not more ;)  Oh, just another care free day here at our house having fun, learning and exploring.

Happy Saturday!

Happy Friday! and a few links

Here is a link on how to disable right and left clicking on your photos  rs designs. The left you will need to do on each photo that you want to disable left clicking on. The right you do only once in HTML in layouts. I have noticed that if view in a reader you can still right click but it is a smaller photo. If some one wants to steal a photo they can get around all this by taking a screen shot. My hope is no crazies are viewing our blogs!

I post from Windows Live Writer because I find it easy and I like it. You can edit, crop, water mark, add frames, and size your photos, and you can use any font you have on your computer. The only thing I don't like is that the codes look funky so I have to go into blogger to disable left clicking.

Tip on water marking. You can do them for free in Picasa, Pic Nic, Windows Live Writer, and many others. If you hold down the ALT key and type 0169 at the same time you get this ©.

Some have asked what happened in the ds community and here is a link for that.

Hope this helps!

Have a Happy Friday!

Spring Foto Project

Recently Updated1

I joined the Souvenir Foto School mini 6 week class by MissB. We shot the same plant to see the changes. I decided on the bougainvillea next door. Around week 4 the neighbor decided to prune it way back. LOL I kind of got all nervous but it was fine. Last week and this week we finally got some green on those branches. It was a fun class and I look forward to doing it again.

Love this! Fellow Mom, advocate, blogger, friend stayed up late last night to make this beautiful video. How cool is that? She sure does rock! Thank you Rebecca! world down syndrome day 2010

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!

Down syndrome has been such a sweet blessing to our family. Noah is my perfect child and the holder of my heart. I could have never dreamed a more perfect child. He has brought so many wonderful, beautiful people into our life. Stranger come up to us to say hello and tell us a story of some one they know with Down syndrome or just that they think he is beautiful. It is a wonderful club to be in and I am happy to be in it! I am blessed to be his mother and so very, very thankful!

Our plan is to go down town and celebrate with our local ds group and release butterflies at 3:21. What a beautiful day to celebrate! Hope everyone has a a wonderful day!

A cool windy day

I am loving this cool 48 and windy weather we are having today. I made the mistake of going out and playing kick ball with Noah. I am now suffering with sneezing and watery eyes. But, we had fun! Joel had to go into work today, I hope for only a short shift. No plans for the day so not sure what we will be doing? I guess just relaxing?!

Happy Saturday!

I am still suffering with allergies/sinus. I really hate feeling this way, cant breath through my nose, head ache, eyes want to stay shut…..feeling awful and no energy. Ugh! Enough about me.

If you could please keep the sweet Brave Hero in your prayers, his family would be much thankful. You can read more about him here Praying for Parker

Have a wonderful and happy Friday!

Yesterday was a lovely day

Recently Updated

Joel ran a St Patrick’s Day race here on base yesterday morning but Noah was still sleeping so we missed it. He came in second place. Some young kid came in first. I so wanted to take photos but there is next time.

Later in the day Noah and I went with two of my sisters to a little village near here to shop. Noah wore his new shark Crocs and he loves them. We each bought different flavors of fudge and it was all so good. I bought a sweet silver cross pendent and the sweet Amazing Grace sign to hang on the wall.

Then we headed to Target. I bought my long awaited Liberty of London rain boots and matching bag. Noah got a new base ball bat and a new baseball. His Miracle League season will be starting up soon. So, we had such a nice day out.

Today, I am suffering with allergies/sinus! But, it is such a beautiful day out, again. Love these spring days! Hope you have a good one too! Oh, and the Texas Bluebonnets are starting to bloom around town!

The photo above reminds me of being a kid and being carefree. Oh…. to be young again!

I wanted to start fresh so here I am starting all over again. I do not have all the links and things moved over yet but I will be getting those up soon. I have been running on 3 hours of sleep all day with no nap and I can hardly keep my eyes open at this point.  I hope life will be easier with this one blog instead of the two.

I hope that you will join me on this happy journey.
