Finally

I took him to see Toy Story on Saturday. He woke up and was so happy and excited! It was a good time. They had 4 shows and believe it or not they kept sending us to the wrong show but we finally found our show in 3D. Noah took it all in and loved it. I cried my eyes out and loved it too. I think we will be taking him to see it again.  We met one of my sister’s for lunch after and then did a little shopping. When we got home he said, he was tired and went to bed for a good nap.

He is tired right about now too. Going to see if he wants to nap.

Trying to keep up around here and not much time to read my blog list. I hope to catch up this weekend!

Just got back from my daily walk. I started going at night after Joel gets home and I like it better. I go in the morning on the weekends though to get it over with.

Special Exposure Wednesday – hair cut

I usually take him to get his hair cut before it is this long but we got busy with things.

He has two cow licks that make his hair come to a point. I have tried ever gel but nothing holds those cow licks.

 

Took him last week for his cut. He almost made it with out crying but at the very end he began to cry. He always looks so much more like a big boy with a fresh cut :)

Happy Monday

I finally cleaned up my crafting area Friday and Saturday. It felt good to get rid of clutter! I need to do the hall closet so that I can move some craft bins in there to store until I need them. But, so happy to have it all cleaned up and sorted and things in place. I can finally get to everything and even have work space to work on jewelry and sewing and other crafty things! My craft area is in the dinning room so it was so ugly to look at for months. Put all my bakers twine in mason jars, thought it looked so pretty in the light.

I found another vintage suitcase last week for $1.50 at the thrift store. It is in pretty good shape and I like it but still have my eye for a little older set. A set in pink would be lovely! But the two I have now are fine for photo props. Now if I had some one to take photos of ( girls). hahaha! The girls in my family are too shy, like I am to have photos taken of them. Joel wants to know what I need these for :)

Ken. poor Ken! We have about three and with out heads. We are excited to carry them at the store and then we get home and before I know the heads are off. I have no clue why but he pulls the heads off as soon as he can? They do not make Barbie dolls like they used to and you could just snap the heads back on. I tried to glue them but it didn't work. He has two old boy Barbie dolls that I had as a child and you can take the heads off and put them back on so he cant understand why these new ones you can not fix.

Busy here today and my break is over.

Wishing Joel a wonderful and Happy Father’s Day!!!! He is a wonderful Dad and Noah and I love him to the moon!

My Dad is pretty awesome too. We will be making dinner over at my parents house. Making a cake to take over. Just a relaxing day here trying to catch up with things :)

Boot Camp day 13 - smile

Found this beautiful path of blossoms after our walk today. I was happy to find this beauty today. They sure made me smile :)

and Noah always puts a smile on my face! I love how each summer he gets a little more freckles than the summer before. They make him all the more sweet to me!

So, today is the last day of boot camp! It was a blast and I enjoyed this time and meeting so many new wonderful people. Feeling more confident about calling myself an artist whether it be making jewelry, photography or any of my many other hobbies. I feel blessed to have a small bit of time each day to do something creative. It saves my sanity some days!

Noah and I did walk outside again today! It was just as hot and humid again. This time we walked at the track where the troops work out. I was glad when we were finished and so was Noah. He asked for Taco Cabana tacos on the way to the car. So, I had to take him for being a good sport.

Boot Camp day 12 - smooth

I had lots of thoughts on what is smooth but this is what I came up with early this morning. Pink satin ribbon on an old spool.

Only one more day of Boot Camp left!

Noah and I have been up since 5am and that is early for him. So we went walking (me walking and pushing him in stroller). I thought I would pass out from the heat and humidity. I have no idea how Joel runs in this every day? Plus, I got more of a work out going around all the construction going on here on base trying to get the stroller up and down off side walks and gravel, ugh! I was soaked by the time we got to the turn around and we both had mosquito bites all over by the time we got home. If I go tomorrow it will be a miracle!

Noah had his ENT follow up today for his ear tubes surgery from last month. All was good, tubes still in place, so happy. He did scream his head off today for some reason and the poor dr ( first time to see this dr) was all nervous and thought he should wait till he calmed down. I wanted to tell him to just do it and get it over with! He has hearing test next week, and I think it will be a good one!

Boot Camp day 11 - Hush

this was hard for me. first I thought of Noah holding a baby doll but he was still sleeping and I wanted to get it done. so this is what I came up with. love it to be quiet and relaxing when reading. yes, my tired old eyes need readers now ;)

this reminded me of hush too… looks like a quiet little house.

Boot Camp day 9 - drizzle

Really so behind on things with all the running around we have been doing. Finally, got to Morgan’s Wonderland yesterday for a bday party and wow, we loved it and so did Noah. Think we will be trying to get there every weekend! There was hardly anyone there but a few bday party’s so it was so nice to be able to do what ever and no lines! post pics later! Noah had his last Miracle League game on Sat. boy was it hot out! So sad to not see everyone till the fall :(

Took Noah to get his hair cut today and boy does he looks handsome! He didn't even cry till the very, very end! So proud of him! Took him to Toy’s R Us after and so excited that they are selling the Scooby Doo gang again so he got the set. I pray he doesn't flush them down the toilet like the last two sets!

Boot Camp day 7 and 8 – fly and ornament

  these are for fly. My first thought was of a flag or birds. It was so hard getting a bird shot as we were out and about all day Sat. so made do with the very last one I took.

this is for ornament. these hands are huge and I mean huge! at the entry to Morgan’s Wonderland and just so beautiful to see.

Busy weekend so I am so behind in getting things up on the blog and on to flickr and visiting blogs!

Boot Camp day 6 - Fluid

I favorite the top image but thought I would post two more that I took. Top two are of sweet tea in a jelly jar with lemon and lot’s of ice. One of my favorite things to drink! Bottom image is my favorite lotion and spray to wear from philosophy.

Boot Camp day 5 - Grow

I see Noah growing every day right before my eyes and I so miss the day before. Although he may be able to wear the same clothes and shoes for what seems like forever and he may not be developmentally or physically at what his chronological age is. And he may not be growing by leaps and bounds in all areas of life like his typical peers. Still….. I sit in joy and watch with a happy heart and see every single milestone, achievement, growth, and his loving, pure heart full of happiness and laughter and joy. I can be nothing but happy to be on this Earth as his Mother... as I get to walk with an Angel!

Boot Camp day 4 – heavy metal

Well, I wanted to photograph a field here on base with a yellow tractor type truck but Noah and I drove around for ever trying to get to it. All the roads are closed here on base with the construction and demolition. I can see this spot from the road off base when we pass by and I keep wanting to get there to take photos. So, I ended up with my bracelet with heart charm from James Avery. A gift from Joel and Noah many years ago for mother’s day. I so love it! Every girl from Texas deserves some James Avery jewelry.

Boot Camp day 3 - Multilayered

My first thoughts of multilayered were… cake, sandwich, and then a tree. I knew I would add layers of texture to what ever I picked. So I took a photo of the tree next door and several others. The above photo is what I came up with.

Then Noah and I went to have lunch with my Mom. There is a field of flowers near her house that I have been wanting to take photos of but every single time I go by there is this scary dog sitting in the field, so I keep driving. Well, yesterday there was no dog and I found these beauties with layers of blooms. I thought it would be perfect for multilayered.  I have no clue what they are but they are pretty.

So, this is my story for the day! :)

Boot Camp Day 2 - picnic

Creativity Boot Camp day 2. Today’s word is picnic. I used my Longaberger picnic basket and things on hand for the set up. It has been so much fun seeing everyone’s take on the word prompts and doing the daily journaling.

Creativity Boot Camp day 1 - Ivory

In other news… We had a nice weekend. Noah played ball yesterday and we were out shopping most of the day. We went to Mass last night and got home in time to watch a movie. Today, we set up a bigger kiddie pool that Noah got for Easter from my sister and he had a blast. He was brave and getting daring. He is scared to put his head under water but I sure am proud of how well he did today with getting under up to his neck! I hope by the end of summer he will be able to put his head under and not be so scared!

Took this out in an old field here on base yesterday. Sad really that this base will be all closed down with in a year. Sad to see buildings tore down and everything closed, not much left to this little old base. I will enjoy it while we are still here though!

When Joel gets home… dinner out, shopping, book store and a movie when we get home to end the day! Noah loves the book store too.

Oh, we had a guest last night on our back patio, the most beautiful raccoon ever! Joel called for me to come see, He knows I love seeing any animal that comes to visit us. The raccoon was eating the pop corn I had put out for the birds. LOL

Special Exposure Wednesday

The iPod Touch still keeps Noah busy. He just keeps getting better and better with it.  I love it too as it gives me some free time to get things done. We would love to get him the ipad and saving up for it for him.
Today we plan on sitting by the kiddie pool and then maybe a trip to Target and later on he has music therapy. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!
