Happy Holidays…

IMG_9555

oh so happy the holidays are here!!! I put the tree up on Saturday with lights and candy canes only. It will get packed away before the 16th. But, that is ok. We are loving it for now. Noah was so happy to see it and loves hearing Christmas music on the radio. We will be making the best of the season with the move and with my heart falling into pieces  as each day passes.

I have enjoyed these 5 years being back home with my family. It has been wonderful especially for Noah. I never thought we would have ever moved back here so to have these years here has been such a blessing. I am thankful.

Happy Holidays!!!!! Please forgive me if I am a crying mess for the next month…..

looking for a home

IMG_9762

Took Joel to the airport yesterday. Had to go back 30 minutes later because he missed his flight. lol

IMG_9766

He made his flight today. At least he got to stay home one more day. We took Noah to school and sat with him for breakfast then went shopping and then the airport. He made it to Ohio and staying with my sister and brother in law while looking for a place for us to live. He wants to drive over to visit with his family in Pennsylvania for the weekend and watch the Steelers play on Sunday. And maybe catch the hockey game in Columbus on Thursday with his brother meeting him there? It will be good for him to go home and visit his family. We have not been back there since we left 5 years ago. Noah and I miss him already.

We are keeping busy. I have a ton to do and get done and my head is spinning. We have 3 weeks left here. This will be our first move ever that I will not have to pack. The movers will be coming for 3 days to pack us up and then the 4th day take it all away. Wow, that is going to be great! But, I still have so much purging to do. I did manage to get Noah’s room done last week. I think I got rid of around 12 bags of stuff? Now to do the rest of the house and storage unit. sigh…

Happy Monday!!!!

Thanksgiving

IMG_9494

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My sister and her family came in from Ohio for the week. It was wonderful to have all 5 of my siblings together at one time. My parents were so happy as were we. We always have such a good time. Wish all the grand kids could have been here too but they live all over. I will carry this Thanksgiving in my heart forever. I am very thankful!!!

Happy Monday

IMG_8345

Hope your Monday is a good one. Hard to believe we will be moving in about 4 weeks. The time has flown by. I am enjoying every moment here that I can. Trying to spend lots of time with my family. Oh, how I will miss them and my home town. The Tex-Mex food, the culture, the mild winters, Noah’s waiver and just everything about calling it home here for the last 5 years. I know it will all be good and we will have new things to discover. So exciting and sad at the same time.

Happy Monday! Wishing you a wonderful week :)

Rock n Roll Marathon San Antonio

Recently Updated251

it was nice and cool today… beautiful weather for the marathon. My Mom, two of my sisters and one brother met up with us to cheer Joel on. We had a great time walking all over down town, laughing and  having a good time on our wait.

Boy, it was so crowded, like crazy crowded! There were over 28,000 runners. We were not able to see Joel coming in the way they had the finish line set up but I did see him coming in since I knew what time he would be coming in about. Was not able to get a photo though. so we had to stand over at another shoot where they came in after getting their medals and stuff.

here Joel is coming in. He finished in 3 hours and 28 min. We are so proud of him. Noah ran and ran today too. he kept us busy while waiting. He is a runner just like his Dad. :)

I'm thankful for my family to come out and support Joel and for the good time we had and for Joel having such a good run! My sister Margie cooked a celebration dinner tonight and well…. more good times!

Hope your Sunday was wonderful!

Happy Friday

  Recently Updated246-1

We took Noah out of school early last Friday so we could go watch the Thunderbirds practice. He has never seen an air show and we didn't know if it would be too loud and bother him. We only stayed for the Thunderbirds and he did great but started asking to go home.

Recently Updated245-1

It was a good time and he enjoyed watching the show.

After we went to the horse stables and pet the horses and then went to the play ground. It was a beautiful day out.

Hope your Friday is wonderful and have a great weekend!

still here

IMG_7983a

I have so many pictures to share but no time to blog them. We have been busy here with school issues, getting ready for the move, the marathon on Sunday, family birthdays, and me being sick since Friday. So much I want to write about that dumb school but don't even know where to start. It’s the teacher not so much the school or maybe it is both? Another day. I hate being negative but it is really the stuff that is happening in our life right now dealing with school. We leave in about 5 weeks! I have not started to pack. we don't know where we will live. Where Noah will be going to school. Everything is up in the air. Crazy I know!

Hope your Tuesday is a good one! xo

SO bowling fun

Recently Updated242

They had their second practice yesterday for Special Olympics bowling. Noah really enjoys it and so do the other kids. I meet them at the bowling alley. It makes for a long day 9-1. They bowl, eat and then sit and wait for what seems like forever. I know if I was not there to keep Noah busy he would have a melt down. He kept telling me, he wanted to go to the car and go home and that he was done after lunch.

They had middle school PALS help out at each lane. I just think these kids in the PALS programs in the district are a bunch of wonderful kids.

I like to wait for them to leave before I go. That bus has my heart on it!

One of the aides came up to me while I was waiting to tell me they thought I was such a great Mom. It was really nice to hear that. Because some times I wonder if they think I am a nut always around. Not that I care if they think I am a nut because well, Noah is my concern and I will be around to see, hear and know what is going on.

The aides at this school are really wonderful and caring. The problem is there are not enough of them to go around for all the kids. I don't want Noah left behind or not taken care of in the way he should be and so this is why I go and help out. I am thankful I am able to go and help out and be with Noah. I wish other parents were able to go  and see and participate too.

Hope your Thursday was a good one!

voted

November new

went to vote this morning after taking Noah to school. I voted at my 4th and 5th grade elementary school. It was pretty cool to see it as an adult and see everything so small now. I went to 5 elementary schools in all. Looking back at this I guess moving so much made me feel like I didn't belong or like an outsider. even though I made friends easy in my life, I just never knew when the next move would be. I so didn't want this same for Noah and looks like he will follow in my foot steps.

Anyway, I am thankful for my right to vote today and thankful for the many wonderful memories from all of the elementary schools I attended.

Happy Tuesday!

finally a doctor. since he was not feeling good he was not into much of any costume but in the end he liked being a dr.  He had a good time handing out candy and enjoys seeing all the kids. after about 4 houses he was done and asked to go home.

He is home today sick and resting up. I so need to go to Target to get hair color to cover up my gray but I am here with him and hoping he is feeling better.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
