I started homeschooling January 2008, after I pulled Noah out of public school (kindergarten) a month earlier. He was in the PS system for 2 1/2 years and he attended special preschool for 2 1/2 years. The more I learned of his rights and what the school was not doing for him the worse it got. In the end I could not let him continue to go to a school district that didn't have his best interest. They wouldn't provide a safe, caring, learning environment for him.

I never thought I would be homeschooling but it has turned out to be pretty great. I love being with him and knowing he is safe, cared for and learning. I would love some me time now and again but I don't think I could leave him in a schools care again? We shall see where the road takes us.
